The Niger-Delta Ex-militants threatened to disrupt the forth coming presidentail election next week.
In a letter signed and made available to Tarakirivoice by the Executive members of the Coalition of the Niger-Delta Ex-agitators, comprised of Paul Johnson Chairman Bayelsa State, Solomon Adu Chairman Delta State, Passman Akpos Secretary Bayelsa State, Godspower Mabiku Secretary Delta State, Gift Agamene P.R.O Bayelsa State and among others.
The group accused the Interim Administrator, Major Gen. Barry Ndiomu, presidential Amnesty program, of diverting their fund for personal use.
“We are calling on the Interim Administrator, Major Gen. Barry Ndiomu, Niger-Delta Presidential Amnesty program as a matter of urgency without delay credit the account of those affected by the issue of BVN” they stated.
“This is going to five months, yet there is no sign of payment, our people have been patient in the midst of the prevailing economic hardship, restraining themselves, as law abiding citizen of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, never to do anything that will disrupt the relative peace in the Niger-Delta as the times we are in, is sensitive in terms of the forth coming election, never wanting to give opportunity to wicked politicians to hajacked our demonstration for their political gains” they noted.
“The IA has repeatedly said, so many of the BVN are linked up to 32 accounts, and that’s the reason he stopped to pay. The question one will ask, his Ndiomu a banker?, was He the one that introduced the BVN policy?, as the Bank not aware of the linkage of those BVN?. If 32 accounts are linked to one BVN, has he checked if that Camp in question exceeded the numbers of slots given from the inception of the program?”
“The last time we met Ndiomu in the Amnesty Office last December 2022, in the cause of the meeting, we showed him fake Camps that officials of the Amnesty office using to syphon monies from the program, the names of the fake Camps were listed for him and his officers in the meeting confirmed that 99 percent of the allegations were correct”
“The fake Camps include; INGIA-WURU-CAMP. ICE LAND, NDFF, ORAN, EGBERI CAMP, ALAMINI FREEDOM FIGHTER 120, FOUCHEE CAMP, KALAWO CAMP, USIGBE, AGUDA, BFF CAMP, TOBI CAMP, OSUO CAMP, BENUWOLO CAMP, EZEKIEL CAMP, KENNETH OPUSINGI, EVAN CAMP, PEREKEME EVAN CAMP 2, EBI CAMP, K GROUP” the statement added.
“These are Camps with plenty of slots, they are using to syphon monies from the program”
“up until now he as not said anything about it,yet he is talking about a clear and genuine case, painting it negative in the eyes of the public so as to buy cheap sympathy” the group said.
The statement further reads, ” does Ndiomu know how the Camps are been managed, how the Camp leaders manage their boys. This same Ndiomu that paid bulk monies for others why is he finding it difficult to settle the issue of BVN before now”
” lately Ndiomu as employed machineries that are working for him, of which he’s paying N5,000,000 or more that are posting as Ex-militants, writing unverifiable things on the media; we are calm watching them” they noted.
The group further disclosed that Ndiomu is diverting their monies for personal use, cunningly misdirecting the eyes of the public, painting the genuine owners of the program negatively for selfish purpose.
“By this notice, we have disown Barry Ndiomu from all the Niger-Delta state”
” All political Parties should take note that if Barry refuse to pay those monies, there will be no elections”
“We are fully prepared for him, if he refuse to pay, anything that happen, nobody should hold us responsible” the statement noted.
