Abuja – Niger-Delta Ex-agitators of the presidential Amnesty Programme has poured in encomium on the Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, Chief Dennis Brutus Otuaro PhD, described him as a round peg in a round hole.
In a communique made available to Tarakirivoice Friday, signed by self-style GEN. TUNDE O AGBOUFA, leader of IZON O P C MAYHEM DEFENDERS OF NIGER DELDA CAMP, self-style GEN. MATHEW DANIEL leader of BONMOBO CAMP and self-style GEN. BIRIALA GITA, Leader of RED BOY CAMP, Appealed to the the Administrator of the Programme, Chief Dennis Brutus Otuaro PhD, to Fast tract the payment of those affected with the Bank Verification Number (BVN) issues and the backlog of Arrears.
The leaders unanimously Appreciated the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency , Sen. Ahmed Bola Tinubu, for Appointing Dr Otuaro as the Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme.
Self-style Agboufa noted “Otuaro is a product of the struggle, he knows the in and out of the struggle. Those days in the Niger-Delta, when we were in the creek, fighting against the Nigeria government, disrupting government installations to cause chaos in the economy for the singular purpose of gaining resource control and better life for our people in the region. Some of our brothers were killed, you see your fellow brother, wounded with bullet, blood gushing out from his body like a broken pipe that is leaking crude oil in our creek. We never give up nor deter by the sound of the gun, because we have sacrificed our lives as lamb for the betterment of our region. Today, Amnesty is been given through that struggle, many of our brothers who fought, never thirsted any thing from it, but we that are alive by the grace of God, we were not killed, but we were granted Amnesty”
“The Amnesty we enjoyed, is the joy and restfulness of our brothers who are no more, that were consumed by the this struggle. It will be unfortunate and disheartened to the dead, if, we that are alive are deprived of our right. Otuaro is a man of the struggle and knows exactly where the shoe pains. We have been in this Abuja for over months, struggling to be paid, Hotel bills pilling up every day by day”
“Otuaro is a man that has human sympathy, he knows our story, the dark day in the creek, am using this medium to beg you, please let these monies be paid before next week runs out, and we shall be grateful for it”
Gen. Tunde further reiterated “If Otuaro is able to pay this money before next week runs out, we are ready to stand by him. we have heard and seen in the social media, were people are writing and accusing Otuaro of falsehood, If our matter is settled, we can go any length to back him up. with the short time you have taken the mantle of leadership in the office, we have seen how far you’ve gone and we see that if more time is given to you, the blue print of the programme will be actualize”.
On his part, Gen. Matthew disclosed That, “Otuaro is a good man, I personally have seen, where, out of his personal money, not Amnesty money, he assisted some of our people, this man is a giver, “him dey give pipo moni from him pocket, he nor dey stingy, na giver him be, i like am , for that tin, any how , any how, if him pay tis our moni next week, any body we get two head, come insult am make I see”
BIRIALA on his part thank the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency Ahmed Bola Tinubu for Appointing Otuaro as the Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, vow to work with him with full chest, if, the monies are paid next week.
