Uyo Indigenes Urged to Submit Recruitment Details Before Deadline — Dr. Uwemedimo Udo

UYO, Nigeria — All indigenes of Uyo Local Government Area who applied for the ongoing Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire, and Immigration Services Board recruitment have been directed to urgently forward their application details before the close of work today, Wednesday, November 5, 2025.
The directive was issued by the Executive Chairman of Uyo Local Government Area, Dr. Uwemedimo Udo, who made the announcement in a public statement on Wednesday morning.
According to Dr. Udo, the exercise is part of efforts to ensure proper documentation and coordination of all qualified Uyo indigenes who participated in the federal recruitment process. Applicants are advised to contact his Special Assistant on Media, Mrs. Itoro-Etas Iniobong, and provide full details of their applications for verification and onward submission.
“This is an urgent call to all Uyo sons and daughters who applied for the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire, and Immigration recruitment. Kindly reach out to my SA on Media with your details before the close of work today,” Dr. Udo said.
He emphasized that the move is aimed at ensuring that qualified applicants from Uyo are duly represented and given fair consideration in the recruitment process.
Residents praised the initiative, describing it as a proactive measure to safeguard the interests of local applicants and enhance transparency in federal employment opportunities.
