The Bayelsa State Governor, Sen. Douye Diri today charged the IYC president, Jonathan Lokpobiri to promote the great ideals of the IJaw struggle in his home town Sampou in Bayelsa State.
according to the Governor, ‘I received the new President of Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Jonathan Lokpobiri, members of his 9th NEC and other leaders of the Council in my country home, Sampou”
“While I congratulated him and other elected officers of IYC, I charged them to continue to promote the great ideals of the Ijaw struggle in demands for justice and fairness in the development of Ijaw Nation”.
“I seized the opportunity of the meeting to call on our youth to join hands in ensuring that the forthcoming Gubernatorial election in Bayelsa State is peaceful”.
“Once again, congratulations to Jonathan Lokpobiri and his new team”. he noted.
