Regina Daniels’ Mother Accuses In-Law Ned Nwoko After Arrests of Her Children

By Paul Ebi
Lagos — Rita Daniels, mother of actress Regina Daniels, on Sunday unleashed a blistering attack on her son-in-law, Senator Ned Nwoko, accusing him of betraying the family after the arrest of Regina’s siblings. In a video that has circulated widely on social media, Rita Daniels condemned the billionaire politician and warned that anyone who “bites the finger that fed you” would “go down.”
According to Rita Daniels, Regina and her family poured resources into Nwoko’s political campaign — she says Regina personally gave $50,000 and that “all my resources also went into that same election.” The mother added that Regina “is not a gold digger” and accused Nwoko of using his power against the family after the marriage.
The outburst follows several social-media posts and clips reporting that Regina Daniels’ brother Sammy (and other relatives) were taken into police custody in Lagos. Family members and supporters have claimed the arrests were linked to disputes within the extended family; footage posted online showed relatives at Ogombo Police Station appealing for information and assistance.
“I never wanted my daughter to marry Ned Nwoko,” Rita is heard saying in one clip that resurfaced alongside the recent allegations. In the latest video, she warned the senator that if he thought he could “bite the finger that fed you,” he would face consequences. The clips have been shared widely on Instagram, Facebook and other platforms, drawing public attention and sparking debate online.
Representatives for Senator Nwoko and Regina Daniels did not immediately respond to requests for comment at the time of publication. The Lagos Police Command has not issued a formal statement confirming the reasons for any arrests connected to the family, and independent verification of some social-media claims remains limited. Journalists will continue to seek official responses from the police and the parties involved.
