Rivers crisis, a strong motivation for good governance – Fubara

The governor of Rivers State, Governor Siminlayi Fubara, said the political travail he has suffered in the last year and a half is actually God’s purpose in his life and for a new direction for the state.
Instead of being weakened by the efforts of detractors hell-bent on destroying the state, the governor said he is getting stronger and more motivated to do good things for the people of the state.
He said this at a thanksgiving service at the Redeemed Christian Church of God Shepard’s Parish in the Obio-Akpor local government area, in honour of the Chairman of the Rivers State Council of Traditional Rulers, Chike Worlu-Wodo.
Fubara said that he would continue to uphold the fear of God in all his undertakings, adding that his goodness will be a reason for God to save him.
Using himself as an example, Fubara said that there is no prayer that God cannot answer.
He assured that he will continue to govern the state with the fear of God.
Fubara also called on the people to, irrespective of their differences, join hands with his administration to build a united, peaceful and prosperous Rivers State.
