The Southern Ijaw Federated Youth Council (SIFYC) Electoral Committee has officially released the delegate list for the forthcoming 2025 SIFYC Congress, marking another milestone in the ongoing electoral process.
According to a statement signed by Osunu G. Henry (Chairman), Kemegheworighe Gbeinbo (Secretary), Oumatebe Foster Kurotimi (PRO), and Anthony Gboko (TR), the publication of the delegate list is in strict compliance with the SIFYC Electoral Guidelines 2025, which stipulate that all Executive Members automatically qualify as delegates to the Congress.
The Committee disclosed that the list’s release follows the successful conduct of the Delegate Congress across the four constituencies of the Southern Ijaw Local Government Area (LGA).

Reaffirming its commitment to a credible and transparent electoral process, the Committee assured stakeholders that the exercise would continue to uphold democratic principles and integrity throughout all stages of the election.
> “The Electoral Committee remains committed to ensuring a transparent, fair, and credible electoral process in line with the democratic principles guiding the SIFYC,” the statement read.

The Committee added that further details concerning the next phase of the electoral process will be communicated to stakeholders in due course.

With the publication of the delegate list, attention now shifts to preparations for the main Congress, where new executive members of the SIFYC are expected to emerge.
