UBA Foundation Opens Application for Essay Competition, over N10m up for grab

The United Bank for Africa Foundation(UBAF) said it has opened its portal for the 2023 National Essay Competition for secondary school students in Nigeria.

The National Essay Competition is UBAF’s annual education initiative which is aimed at promoting the reading culture and encourage healthy and intellectual competitiveness amongst secondary school students in Nigeria and across Africa.

In a circular, the UBAF instructed interested participants to upload entries in the website: www.ubagroup.com/national-essay-competition on the topic, “Will Artificial Intelligence (AI) take over Human Intelligence? What should students do to ensure AI doesn’t override but enhance their ability to learn through research?”.

How to Apply:

★Applicants must submit their complete contact information

★Applicants must upload a handwritten(not typed) essay on the portal, not more than 750words MAXIMUM

Selection Criteria and Eligibility:

★Must be a Nigerian Senior secondary school student

★Must submit a passport photograph

★Must submit a scanned copy of Birth certificate, National ID or International Passport.

Application closes Friday 20th October, 2023.

Prize money winner are expected to go home with N5Million, 1st runner-up N3million, 2nd runner-up N2.5million and educational grants to any African University of each of their choice
