Unpaid stipends, Ex-militants shut down Oil Companies

Ogbia- The Niger-Delta Ex-agitators as shut down Shell/Agip manifold in the early hours of today at Otuosega town in Ogbia local Government Area of Bayelsa State.

Recall, Tarakirivoice reported the influx of Ex-militants into the federal Capital Territory Abuja, to protest for their over six months stipends.

In the early hours of today the Ex-agitators were seen protesting at the National Assembly Abuja, with different inscription on their placards demanding for the immediate sack of the Interim Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, Maj. Gen. Barry Tariye Ndiomu.

In a related development, a section of the Ex-agitators stage a protest in the Otuesega town in Ogbia local government Area of Bayelsa state, shutting down the oil facilities belonging to Shell/Agip to demand for their over six months payment.

When contacted by our correspondent, the Ex-agitators claimed responsibility for shutting down of the oil installation and vow to do more if the federal government refuse to do the needful by paying their over six months stipends.

” We shall go on and start blowing up oil installation and put the blame on Ndiomu” they noted.
