COSTA RICA — General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has visited the Presidency of Costa Rica alongside his wife, Pastor Folu Adeboye, as part of activities surrounding the National Crusade of Hope in the Central American country.
The visit, which took place on October 15, 2026, featured a meeting with Costa Rican President Laura Fernández, who received the Nigerian clergyman and his delegation.
Pastor Adeboye described the visit as a great honour, expressing gratitude for the opportunity to strengthen relationships and participate in conversations centred on faith, hope, peace and the transformation of lives.
The delegation included Pastors Leke Adeboye, James Fadel and Bayo Fadugba.
Adeboye Emphasises Global Mission of the Gospel
Reflecting on the visit, Adeboye reiterated his commitment to spreading the Christian message across national boundaries, emphasising that the Gospel of Jesus Christ transcends borders, languages and cultures.
According to the cleric, the mission of the church remains focused on taking the message of salvation to people across the world, with the expectation that individuals, families and communities will find renewed hope through faith.
He also expressed optimism that the National Crusade of Hope would bring spiritual encouragement and positive transformation to the people of Costa Rica.
Adeboye prayed that the light of Jesus Christ would shine across the country, bringing salvation, healing, restoration and renewed hope for the future.
Prays for Costa Rica’s President and Citizens
The RCCG leader also offered prayers for President Fernández and the people of Costa Rica, expressing hope that the country would continue to experience peace and what he described as the goodness of God.
He anchored his message on the biblical passage in Habakkuk 2:14, which states: “For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.”
The scripture reflects the spiritual vision behind the National Crusade of Hope, which seeks to spread the Christian message and encourage faith among people across the country.
Strengthening International Christian Engagement
The visit to the Costa Rican Presidency highlights the international dimension of Adeboye’s ministry and the church’s efforts to extend its evangelical activities beyond Nigeria.
The National Crusade of Hope brought the Nigerian religious delegation to Costa Rica for a programme focused on Christian evangelism, prayer and spiritual renewal.
While details of the discussions with President Fernández were not disclosed in the statement, Adeboye’s account highlighted the importance of building relationships and engaging in conversations around faith, peace and the transformation of communities.
The visit also brought together members of the Adeboye family and other ministers participating in the crusade.
As the National Crusade of Hope continues, Adeboye has expressed his prayer that the people of Costa Rica will experience renewed faith, peace and hope for the future.
