Thousands Of Nigerians Join AAC Party In 24 Hours After Sowore’s Revolutionary Call

Thousands of Nigerians across the country have reportedly joined the African Action Congress (AAC) within 24 hours following a passionate call by the party’s National Chairman and 2023 presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, urging citizens to take ownership of their political future.
Sowore, in a message shared on social media earlier this week, had charged Nigerians — especially the youth — to stop recycling failed political leaders and instead rally behind a revolutionary movement driven by integrity, transparency, and justice.
“It’s time for Nigerians, young and old, to take ownership of their political future. Stop letting the same politicians recycle failure across generations,” Sowore said. “Get involved, get organised, and stand for integrity, transparency, and justice in leadership.”
Following the message, the AAC’s online registration portal reportedly recorded an unprecedented surge, with thousands signing up to join the movement within a single day.
Party officials confirmed that new members were registering from all 36 states, with notable turnouts from Lagos, Abuja, Rivers, Delta, and Kaduna. Many registrants cited Sowore’s consistency, courage, and commitment to accountability as their motivation for joining the party.
“This is not just politics as usual,” one new member from Enugu said. “People are tired of promises without progress. Sowore’s message resonates because it’s about real change, not just slogans.”
The AAC, founded in 2018, has positioned itself as Nigeria’s foremost revolutionary party advocating for social justice, good governance, and citizens’ empowerment. With the renewed momentum, analysts suggest that the party could become a major grassroots force ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Sowore, who has long been vocal about corruption, misgovernance, and youth disempowerment, described the massive sign-up as “a clear signal that Nigerians are ready to take their destiny into their own hands.”
