Secretary to the Sokoto state Government (SSG), Alhaji Muhammadu Bello Sifawa, lost a daughter and 3 of her children in a fire incident in the early hours of Monday.
The deceased was a housewife to the Permanent Secretary of the State Ministry of Sports and Youths Development Alhaji Muhammadu Yusuf Bello.
The fire, which started in the wee hours of the night, engulfed the entire house while the family members were sleeping.
Only the husband of the SSG’s daughter, Alhaji Yusuf Bello, survived.
The cause of the fire was under investigation as of press ti.e.
Men of the state fire service battled for hours before they could extinguish the inferno.
The remains of the deceased housewife and her three children had since been buried after Muslim prayers at the Sheikh Shehu Usmanu Danfodiyo Mosque.
