Government Cancelled the Marriage? OPM Pastor Rejects Divorce Claims, Calls It Fake News

The General Overseer of Omega Power Ministries (OPM) has announced that his adopted son, Elijah Chibuzor, and his wife, Mrs. Elijah, are currently at the immigration and passport office processing their international passports ahead of a planned trip to Canada.
According to the cleric, the couple will be traveling for a holiday, with full sponsorship provided by OPM Church through tithes and offerings. He disclosed that he has already informed his children currently studying in Canada under the OPM University Scholarship scheme to receive the couple at the airport and take care of them during their stay.
The pastor used the opportunity to dismiss widespread rumours suggesting that the government had nullified Elijah’s marriage, insisting that the union remains valid and intact.
“Please ignore any fake news of government nullification of their marriage. Their marriage is intact. The fake news only exists in the imagination of enemies of progress,” he stated.
He further explained that Elijah’s wife remains on a lifetime salary arrangement, with her primary responsibility being to care for his adopted son, make him happy, and build a family with him.
“She is on a lifetime salary and her only job is to take care of my adopted son Elijah, make him happy, and give birth to beautiful healthy children,” he said.
The cleric also revealed that in addition to her monthly salary, she is expected to receive another N20 million cash reward in 10 years, provided the couple remains in good health.
“In 10 years’ time, as God keeps them in good health, she will receive another N20 million cash, which is different from her monthly salary,” he added.
He concluded by saying that making others happy is pleasing to God, stressing that every human being deserves happiness.
The development has sparked mixed reactions online, with some social media users praising the gesture as generous and compassionate, while others questioned the unusual arrangement and jokingly asked if there were openings for a “second wife” position.
Others suggested that the Canada trip could also provide an opportunity for Elijah to undergo medical examinations and treatment, although some commenters argued that autism cannot be cured but only managed.
