Ex-militants withdraws case against PAP, declares full Support for Amnesty Boss

The Niger-Delta Ex-agitators, under the phase II of the presidential Amnesty Programme PAP, has withdrawn their case against the presidential Amnesty Office and declared full support for the Administrator of the Programme, Chief Dennis Brutus Otuaro PhD.
Recall, the Ex-agitators of Phase II of the presidential Amnesty Programme had petitioned the Amnesty office during the tenure of the past Interim Administrator, Maj. Gen. Barry Tariye Ndiomu, before the House Committee on public petition in the National house of Representatives.
The petition that was written by M.P Anaukyaa & Co against the Niger-Delta presidential Amnesty Programme, was an appeal for the intervention in the plight of the Ex-Niger-delta Agitators.
Tarakirivoice had reported the events that led to the institution of a petition against the PAP office, by the Ex-agitators. The development was orchestrated by the former Interim Administrator, Maj.Gen. Barry Tariye Ndiomu. On the first month of his appointment, he went ahead without stakeholders consultation, delisted Beneficiaries of the Programme, pause payment of monthly stipends to bank accounts, due to BVN linkage, without proper explanation.
Tarakirivoice follows through the development of the events, has the Ex-agitators of Phase II of the presidential Amnesty Programme demanded for explanation in form of a peaceful protest to the Amnesty office, the former Interim Administrator, Maj. Gen. Barry Tariye Ndiomu, Orders the Nigerian Army to pound upon the harmless Ex-agitators, protesting peacefully in front of the Presidential Amnesty office, Maitama district, by Nile street, Abuja to demand for their right.
This led to the Institution of the petition, before the House committee on public petition, of the national House of representatives, that led to the sack of the former Interim Administrator, Maj. Gen. Barry Tariye Ndiomu.
Chief Dennis Otuaro took over the mattle of leadership after the sack of the former Interim Administrator. Talk has been ongoing between the Ex-agitators and the presidential Amnesty office led by The Head of Peace Building and Conflict Resolution/Stakeholders Management unit, of the presidential Amnesty Programme, Chief Diplomat Adams E.O.O.Marbo as instructed by the Administrator of the Programme, Chief Dennis Brutus Otuaro.
On Thursday, The Ex-agitators, led by the National Chairman of Phase II, Amb. Kingsley Muturu, the National leader, Gen Aso Tambo and all the leaders involved in the petition against the office, went to the House committee on public petition, National house of representatives to withdraw the petition.
Some of the Ex-agitators who appeared before the House Committee to withdraw the petition include; self-style Gen. John Esuku National Vice Chairman, Gen. Paul Johnson Bayelsa state Phase II Chairman, Gen. Solomon Adu Delta State Phase II Chairman, Gen. Passman Akpos Bayelsa State Phase II Secretary, Gen Gift AGAMENE National Phase II PRO and among others.
According to the National Leader of Phase II, Aso Tambo, in a brief media chat with Tarakirivoice after the House committee session at the front of the National House of Representatives, noted, “Today was an adjournment date of the House of Representatives case, that was been managed by my people, I conferred with the presidential Amnesty Office yesterday, as regards of withdrawing the case back to the office, so that, we can settle ourselves amicably, and as far as I know,Amnesty is the biggest Niger-Delta family we have, and you can see with me the case file, that my people have been using to prosecute the presidential Amnesty Office, have collected it from them in attempt to withdraw the case from the House of Representatives committee, and am going back with the file to the presidential Amnesty office for final settlement of the case, thank you” he said.
The Ex-agitators were so happy as they appreciated the President of the federal Republic of Nigeria, Ahmed Bola Tinubu, for appointing Dennis Otuaro, a product of the Niger-Delta struggle, to man the affairs of the presidential Amnesty Programme.
