Gov. Diri hosts Muslim Community in Bayelsa, calls for peaceful co-existence among other faith

The Bayelsa state Governor, Senator Douye Diri hosted the Muslim brothers and sisters led by Alhaji Yakubu Otobo at Government House, Yenagoa on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr today, he urged them to ensure peaceful co-existence among other faiths.
In his word, “I must commend you all for your support towards the government through your peaceful co-operation and understanding.
Let me appreciate you for joining hands with the government and the natives of the state to keep the peace and mutual co-existence.
“There is the need to keep the existing peace, I condemn the maiming of any particular group or ethnic religion, let us all ensure that ethnic crisis do not arise amongst us and that’s the way to live together.
“The practice of justice, equity and fairness is the only source for us to have peace in this country.
I like to join other Bayelsans to celebrate this day with you and wish you all barka de sallah.”he said.
