Bayelsa police commences screening of new recruits January 8

The Bayelsa state Police Command said it would begin screening of shortlisted applicants who had indicated interest in joining the force on Jan. 8, 2024.
ASP Musa Mohammed, the spokesperson of the command, announced the commencement of the screening exercise in a statement in Yenagoa, on Friday.
The statement reads, “The Bayelsa State Police Command wishes to inform Bayelsans and the general public, particularly those who applied for the ongoing Recruitment into the Constable Cadre in the Nigeria Police Force to report to Police Officers Mess, Hospital Road Yenagoa, Bayelsa State by 0700hrs daily; from Monday 8th to 29thJanuary, 2024, with the following documents for Physical / Credential Screening Exercise.”
“Applicants are to appear at the Screening Centres in their Clean White T-Shirts and Short with the following mandatory screening requirements, neatly arranged into white flat files. such as:
1- recent passport photographs
2- evidence of Physical / Mental Fitness from a Government recognized Medical Hospital
3- Evidence of Good Character from Traditional Ruler or Village / District Head of the applicant
4- Certificate of Origin signed by the Local Government Chairman or Secretary
5- National Identification Number (NIN) Slip print-out
6- Original and Duplicate Copies of Credentials O’Level Result(s), Birth Certificate / Declaration of age
7- Print-out of Application Form
8- Duly Completed Guarantor’s Form
9- Invitation Slip”
“Applicants are equally advised to note their scheduled dates and time, as well as other details and specific guidelines on the screening exercise.
“The Commissioner of Police Bayelsa State Command *CP Alonyenu Francis Idu,* wishes to inform the applicants and the general public that the exercise is absolutely free and advised the applicants to conduct themselves in an orderly manner to avoid acts capable of undermining the exercise,” he added.
