Seles Saboh Declares for Reps Race, Picks NDC Nomination Forms for Sagbama/Ekeremor Seat

by Passman Akpos

High Chief (Hon.) Seles Saboh has officially declared his ambition to contest for the House of Representatives under the platform of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), seeking to represent the people of Sagbama/Ekeremor Federal Constituency in Bayelsa State.

Saboh made the announcement after successfully purchasing the party’s Nomination and Expression of Interest Forms on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, describing the move as a major step in his continued commitment to service, development, and effective representation for the people of Bayelsa West.

In a statement released shortly after obtaining the forms, the aspirant said his decision to join the race was driven by his unwavering passion for the welfare of the people and his desire to provide purposeful leadership that would deliver sustainable progress across the constituency.

According to him, over the years, he has remained deeply committed to advocating for the interests of the people, promoting unity among communities, and supporting initiatives that contribute meaningfully to grassroots development.

Saboh noted that with greater political experience, deeper understanding of governance, and renewed determination, he is fully prepared to offer people-oriented leadership that will create opportunities for youths, strengthen support for women, and bring lasting development to communities across Sagbama and Ekeremor.

He stressed that leadership must be built on service, accessibility, inclusion, and a sincere commitment to improving the lives of the people rather than personal ambition.

“My vision is to build a stronger constituency where every voice is heard, our youths are empowered, our women are supported, and our communities experience lasting development and prosperity,” he stated

The House of Representatives hopeful further called on constituents, political stakeholders, and supporters to join him on the journey toward building what he described as a brighter, more prosperous, and truly people-centered future for Sagbama/Ekeremor Federal Constituency.

He also appealed for prayers, encouragement, and continued support as he prepares for the party’s primary elections ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Political observers say Saboh’s entrance into the race is expected to reshape political conversations within Bayelsa West, as stakeholders begin to assess the growing contest for one of the most strategic federal constituencies in the state.
