When an Insider Speaks: Ezekiel Daniel’s Dramatic U-Turn Ignites Debate Over Tompolo’s Inner Circle
.......As Former Tompolo Media Ally Ezekiel Daniel Now Critic of Ex-Boss, Sparks Fresh Debate in Niger Delta

By Passman Akpos
A fresh wave of debate has emerged across the Niger Delta following a strongly worded statement by Engineer Jude Gbaboyor, who claimed that former media aide to Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, Ezekiel Daniel, has turned against the same interests he once defended.
In the statement titled “No Empire Built On Injustice Lasts Forever; When Truth Rises, Tyranny Begins To Fall,” Gbaboyor described Ezekiel Daniel’s change in position as an unexpected development, alleging that the former media aide has become a voice against individuals and activities he previously supported.
According to Gbaboyor, Daniel was once among the strongest defenders of Tompolo during periods when allegations were being made against the former militant leader. Gbaboyor asserted that Daniel had consistently defended Tompolo in public debates and media engagements.
The statement further expressed Gbaboyor’s personal belief that Daniel’s change of stance reflects a moral and spiritual transformation, comparing it to the biblical conversion of Saul to Apostle Paul. He said he would henceforth refer to Daniel as “Apostle Ezekiel Daniel.”
Gbaboyor also used the opportunity to urge Niger Delta youths to critically evaluate their political and social alignments, arguing that truth and justice should take precedence over personal interests or financial benefits.
The statement concluded with renewed criticism of Tompolo and his associates, insisting that “truth and justice will always prevail over tyranny.”
The comments have generated reactions on social media, with some users describing the alleged shift in Ezekiel Daniel’s position as significant, while others questioned the claims and called for restraint until Daniel publicly addresses the allegations.
As of the time of filing this report, Ezekiel Daniel has not publicly responded to the claims, and Government Ekpemupolo (Tompolo) has also not issued any statement regarding the allegations contained in Gbaboyor’s remarks.
It is important to note that the allegations referenced in Gbaboyor’s statement remain his personal claims and opinions. Tarakirivoice has not independently verified the allegations, and those mentioned are entitled to respond.
