Fire razes Lagos blue line track

Fire has razed a small section of Lagos Blue Line track at a spot opposite NEPA Station, near Eko Bridge, in the Apogbon area of Lagos State.
Gboyega Akosile, spokesperson for the state Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, announced the incident in a post on his X.com handle @gboyegakosile.
According to the spokesperson, the incident occurred at 4:12 p.m. on Saturday.
Akosile said that no casualties were recorded and that there was no train service at the time the incident occurred.
The spokesperson stated that a team of safety and emergency personnel, along with other first responders, had completely extinguished the fire.
He announced that, “Lagosians in that area can go about their business peacefully as the situation is under control.
“Kindly await further details on the operations of the train from @Lamataonline.”
