Sowore Raises Fresh Allegations Against Gbajabiamila, Claims Death of Alleged ₦400m Middleman Points to ‘Biggest Cover-Up Ever’

Human rights activist and presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, has sparked fresh controversy after alleging what he described as the “biggest cover-up ever,” questioning why President Bola Tinubu’s Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, has not been investigated over an alleged ₦400 million bribery scandal.
In a statement posted on his social media platforms, Sowore argued that the arrest and reported dehumanization of Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi, alleged to have presented himself as the Director-General of a “fake agency,” appeared to be aimed at shielding influential figures rather than uncovering the truth.
Sowore further claimed that the individual allegedly involved in collecting the purported ₦400 million on behalf of Gbajabiamila had died under mysterious circumstances, while the hotel allegedly used for the transaction had reportedly been demolished.
According to Sowore, these developments warrant a broader investigation, insisting that if law enforcement agencies are genuinely committed to justice, all individuals allegedly connected to the claims should be thoroughly investigated.
The activist also accused the Tinubu administration of attempting to obstruct justice, ending his statement with the hashtag #RevolutionNow.
As of the time of this report, neither the Presidency nor the Office of the Chief of Staff had publicly responded to Sowore’s allegations. The claims have not been established in court, and no official findings have been released to substantiate them.
Sowore’s remarks have since generated intense debate on social media, with some Nigerians calling for an independent investigation while others urged caution, emphasizing that all allegations should be tested through due legal process.
