TRUMP, TINUBU CRUSH ISIS: World’s Most Wanted Terrorist Killed in Deadly Joint Strike

President Donald J. Trump has announced that United States forces, working in close coordination with the Nigerian Armed Forces, have successfully eliminated one of the world’s most wanted terrorists, Abu-Bilal al-Manuki, described as the second-in-command of ISIS globally and one of the most active terrorist commanders operating in Africa.
Trump made the announcement Thursday night in a strongly worded statement, revealing that the operation was carried out under his direct instruction and involved what he called a “meticulously planned and very complex mission” aimed at neutralizing the senior ISIS leader.
According to Trump, Abu-Bilal al-Manuki, also known as Abu-Mainok, had been hiding in Africa while allegedly coordinating major terrorist operations and helping to plan attacks against Americans and African nations.
“Tonight, at my direction, brave American forces and the Armed Forces of Nigeria flawlessly executed a meticulously planned and very complex mission to eliminate the most active terrorist in the world from the battlefield,” Trump stated.
He said intelligence sources had closely tracked the ISIS commander’s movements, leading to the successful overnight strike on his compound in the Lake Chad Basin.
“He thought he could hide in Africa, but little did he know we had sources who kept us informed on what he was doing. He will no longer terrorize the people of Africa, or help plan operations to target Americans,” Trump added.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu also confirmed the development in an official statement from Aso Villa, describing the operation as a major victory in the fight against terrorism and a strong example of effective U.S.-Nigeria military collaboration.
Tinubu said Nigerian troops, working side by side with U.S. forces, carried out a daring joint strike that led to the elimination of Abu-Bilal al-Manuki and several of his top lieutenants.
“Early assessments confirm the elimination of the wanted IS senior leader, Abu-Bilal Al-Manuki, also known as Abu-Mainok, along with several of his lieutenants, during a strike on his compound in the Lake Chad Basin,” Tinubu said.
The Nigerian leader praised the partnership with the United States and expressed gratitude to President Donald J. Trump for his leadership and support.
“Nigeria appreciates this partnership with the United States in advancing our shared security objectives. I extend my sincere gratitude to President Trump for his leadership and unwavering support in this effort,” Tinubu stated.
He also commended the military personnel from both countries for their courage and professionalism, while pledging more aggressive action against terrorist strongholds across Nigeria and the wider region.
Trump emphasized that the death of al-Manuki would significantly weaken ISIS’s global network and reduce the group’s ability to coordinate attacks across Africa and beyond.
“With his removal, ISIS’s global operation is greatly diminished. Thank you to the Government of Nigeria for your partnership on this operation,” Trump said before ending his message with his signature sign-off: “GOD BLESS AMERICA!”
The announcement has generated widespread international attention, with security analysts awaiting further operational details and official confirmation from both Washington and Abuja.
The successful strike is being seen as one of the most significant counterterrorism victories in recent times and a major symbolic blow to ISIS operations in Africa.
