“Apologise to Pastor Adeboye Now or Face Spiritual Consequences” — Ossai Warns VeryDarkMan

A political aide and public affairs commentator, Ossai Ovie Success, has urged social media personality VeryDarkMan to tender an apology to Enoch Adejare Adeboye, warning that continued attacks on the revered cleric could attract what he described as “spiritual consequences.”
In a strongly worded statement, Ossai said he had appealed to VeryDarkMan to apologise but claimed the activist had refused to heed the advice.
According to him, VeryDarkMan may believe he is gaining popularity by criticising religious leaders, but insisted that there are boundaries that should not be crossed.
Using the metaphor of an iroko tree, Ossai argued that insulting Pastor Adeboye was dangerous, describing the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God as “a man of God” who is committed to praying for Nigeria rather than pursuing political interests.
He further alleged that Pastor Adeboye has repeatedly come under attack whenever he declines to make political endorsements or speak in ways critics expect, adding that such criticisms are unfair.
Ossai maintained that those who insult what he described as a genuine servant of God expose themselves to divine judgment, stressing that Pastor Adeboye “has not offended anybody.”
He also criticised what he called the growing culture of insulting both political and religious leaders, describing it as reckless and unfortunate.
“I am genuinely disappointed in VeryDarkMan. He should apologise to Pastor Adeboye and retrace his steps,” Ossai stated.
The remarks have sparked fresh debate on social media over the limits of free expression, respect for religious leaders, and the role of public figures in national discourse.
As of the time of filing this report, VeryDarkMan had not publicly responded to Ossai Ovie Success’s statement.
