“Lower Your Pride or Fall!” – Dr. Kemi Blasts VDM After Mrs Jollof Court Defeat, Predicts Total Collapse in BLord Battle

By Passman Akpos

Popular social media personality, Mrs Jollof, has reportedly secured victory in a defamation lawsuit against controversial activist and online critic, VeryDarkMan (VDM), a development that has triggered fresh reactions across Nigeria’s social media and legal circles.

The court decision, which has since generated intense public debate, is being interpreted by many observers as a major legal setback for VDM, who has been involved in multiple high-profile disputes with celebrities, clerics, and business figures.

Reacting to the judgment, media commentator Dr. Kemi Olunloyo stated that the outcome should serve as a warning to VDM over his ongoing legal confrontation involving businessman BLord, arguing that the activist may face even greater challenges if the matter proceeds to full trial.

According to her, after consultations with journalist colleagues in Canada and the United States, there are strong indications that VDM may struggle to secure victory in the BLord case, especially due to what she described as the “AI components” involved in the dispute.

She further claimed that artificial intelligence remains largely unregulated both locally and internationally, making certain digital evidence and legal arguments difficult to challenge effectively in court.

Olunloyo also alleged that VDM had shifted focus from the original BLord case, suggesting the matter had now become more about activist Omoyele Sowore than the businessman himself, a move she described as a distraction and “waste of time.”

She referenced previous legal disputes involving Pastor David Ibiyeomie, claiming one of the related federal court cases was dismissed before trial due to similar legal complications, while also alleging attempts were made to suppress media coverage of the outcome.

In her remarks, she advised VDM to consider an out-of-court settlement rather than pursuing prolonged litigation, warning that continued courtroom battles could lead to more personal and reputational damage.

She criticized what she described as unnecessary hardship caused by detention and legal pressure, including missing important family moments, and urged the activist to “lower his pride” and approach the situation strategically.

The ruling in favor of Mrs Jollof has further fueled online discussions about celebrity defamation cases, freedom of expression, and the growing legal consequences of social media activism in Nigeria.

As of the time of filing this report, VDM had not officially responded to the court outcome or the latest calls for settlement.
