“No Election Is Worth Destroying Arogbo” — Doctor Kegbe Sends Strong Warning to Warring Political Camps

.......Says Politics Should Not Divide Arogbo — Doctor Kegbe Snr Calls for Peace, Unity and Respect Amid Rising Tensions

By Passman Akpos

Tensions surrounding political disagreements in Arogbo have drawn a strong appeal for peace and unity from Doctor Kegbe Snr, Founder and Publisher of Arogbo Voice Media, who has urged residents to reject hatred, insults, and division in the face of political differences.

In a heartfelt public message addressed to elders, youths, fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters, and the entire Arogbo community, Doctor Kegbe stressed that elections are temporary, but relationships among community members are permanent and must be protected at all costs.

He made it clear that his message was not driven by political interest or support for any individual, but by conscience, fairness, and genuine concern for the peace and dignity of the people.

According to him, political disagreements should never be allowed to turn into bitterness, mockery, hostility, or organized attacks against one another, stressing that maturity requires people to disagree with respect and understanding.

“Long after every political contest has ended, we will still live together, worship together, attend the same ceremonies, bury our loved ones together, celebrate together, and continue building the future of our land together. No election should divide us beyond repair,” he stated.

Doctor Kegbe warned against remaining silent in the face of unfairness, saying that silence only deepens division and weakens the unity handed down by the forefathers of the community.

Referencing the biblical story where Jesus told the crowd, “Let he who is without sin cast the first stone,” he reminded the people that no one is perfect and no one should assume the role of judge, destroyer, or enemy against another human being.

He further emphasized that every individual deserves the right to express opinions, support choices, and participate peacefully without intimidation, ridicule, or public humiliation.

Calling especially on the youths, he urged them to remain calm, responsible, and disciplined in both words and actions, adding that political engagement should reflect wisdom and constructive dialogue rather than hatred and division.

“History will remember not only the elections we participated in but also the manner in which we treated one another during difficult moments,” he said.

He concluded by praying that peace, wisdom, understanding, and unity would continue to guide the people of Arogbo, warning that politics must never be allowed to destroy the bonds of brotherhood that hold the community together.
