RCCG Triumphant Area Men’s Convention Ends on High Note as Pastor Suru Ebenezer Declares “Excellent Men” Ready to Transform Society

Yenagoa, Bayelsa State – The 2026 Men’s Convention of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Triumphant Area, Bayelsa Province 2, Region 27, concluded on Sunday after six days of spiritual renewal, impactful teachings, and life-changing seminars.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Tarakirivoice shortly after the closing ceremony, the Pastor-in-Charge of Triumphant Area, Pastor Suru Ebenezer, described the annual convention as a divine initiative that has become a permanent tradition in the church.
“Hallelujah! This convention is a concept that has come to stay in the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Triumphant Parish. It has become our culture every year,” he said.
According to the cleric, the convention has consistently brought spiritual revival among men while also equipping participants with practical knowledge for everyday living.
He explained that the event featured seminars on financial management, health, marriage, parenting, and family leadership, empowering men to become better husbands, fathers, and community leaders.
“We were taught how to manage our finances, maintain good health, handle our families, relate with our wives, and raise our children. We are going back home to implement these lessons and make our families better,” Pastor Suru stated.
The 2026 edition was themed “Excellent Man,” a theme the pastor said reflects God’s nature and the standard expected of every Christian.
“Our God is an excellent God. Like Father, like son. We must reflect His excellence in every area of our lives—spiritually, financially, health-wise, in our marriages, careers, and relationships. That is the essence of this year’s convention.”
Pastor Suru expressed confidence that the knowledge and spiritual empowerment received during the convention would enable participants to make meaningful contributions to society.
“After this convention, we will go out and make exploits. We will make impact in society as excellent men because we are extensions of God and ambassadors of Christ.”
He prayed that every participant would experience lasting transformation.
“This convention has come to stay. It has broken barriers and will continue to improve lives. After this convention, every man shall excel in Jesus’ name. Amen.”
Providing insight into the structure of the fellowship, Pastor Suru explained that the Redeemers Men’s Fellowship exists at the national level, while regions, provinces, and areas are free to organize similar gatherings based on local leadership decisions.
“At the national level, we have the Redeemers Men’s Fellowship. Different regions and provinces can also organize conventions depending on the directives of the Pastor-in-Charge. Here at Triumphant Area, we have chosen to hold this convention every year specifically for Triumphant Area under Bayelsa Province 2, Region 27.”
He further explained that Triumphant Parish operates under the Sanctuary of Hope Zone, Bayelsa Province 2, Region 27 of the RCCG.
The Provincial Headquarters is located at Beautiful Land, while Bayelsa Province 2 is headquartered in Akenfa, Yenagoa. Triumphant Parish is situated along Assembly of God Road, Akenfa 2, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.
The convention, which began on Tuesday, June 23, and concluded on Sunday, attracted members from across the Triumphant Area for a week of worship, teachings, prayers, and fellowship aimed at raising godly men committed to excellence in every sphere of life.
