APC Primary Shocker: Donald Ojogo Clinches Ticket, Asonja Declares Grassroots Have Spoken

The emergence of Hon. Donald Ojogo as the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Ilaje/Ese-Odo Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives has been described as a strong endorsement of his political relevance, acceptability, and enduring grassroots connection.
This position was made known by the Ondo State Coordinator of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, Senior High Chief Felix Idowu Asonja, following Ojogo’s victory at the party’s primary election.
In a statement shared on his verified Facebook page, Asonja said Ojogo’s emergence as the party’s flag bearer for the forthcoming general election reflects the trust and confidence party members and constituents continue to place in his leadership and service.
According to him, Ojogo’s successful return as the APC candidate for the 11th House of Representatives is a clear indication that party faithful and the electorate recognize his commitment to effective representation and people-oriented leadership.
“As Hon. Donald Ojogo seeks re-election into the 11th House of Representatives, his success at the primary election is a reflection of the confidence reposed in him by party members and the electorate,” Asonja stated.
He noted that over the years, Ojogo has remained dedicated to sustained grassroots engagement, accessible leadership, and the promotion of policies aimed at improving the welfare and development of the people of Ilaje/Ese-Odo Federal Constituency.
Asonja further stressed that the victory did not happen by chance but was the result of collective resolve, political unity, and the strong support of party leaders, stakeholders, youths, women groups, and loyal supporters across the constituency who worked tirelessly to ensure a smooth and successful primary exercise.
He added that the current political atmosphere within the constituency clearly points to growing support for progressive continuity, especially for leaders who have shown capacity, accessibility, and dedication to public service.
According to him, Ojogo’s victory is a strong signal of the people’s desire to sustain quality representation and consolidate on the achievements already recorded under his leadership.
Earlier, Ojogo had also expressed gratitude to political leaders and the APC structure across the constituency for their maturity, sacrifices, and commitment to peace, unity, and progress throughout the primary election process.
