A House of Representatives hopeful, Seles Saboh, has formally declared his intention to contest for the Sagbama/Ekeremor Federal Constituency seat, framing his ambition as a “call to purpose and progress.”
In a message addressed to constituents on Friday, Saboh said his decision to run was driven by a sense of responsibility rather than personal ambition. According to him, leadership should be rooted in service, sacrifice, and the willingness to speak up for the people.
The aspirant pointed to what he described as visible gaps across the constituency, including limited opportunities for young people, inadequate infrastructure in local communities, and insufficient representation for families striving for better living conditions.
“I have seen our youths with dreams but no opportunities… communities rich in potential but lacking basic infrastructure,” he said, adding that these challenges motivated him to step forward.
Outlining his agenda, Saboh pledged to deliver effective representation, promote youth empowerment and job creation, improve access to education and healthcare, and push for sustainable development across Sagbama and Ekeremor.
He described his campaign as more than a political bid, calling it a commitment to “restore hope, inspire progress, and deliver measurable impact.”
Saboh also urged constituents to embrace collective action, noting that meaningful change begins when citizens demand better governance and participate actively in shaping their future.
The Sagbama/Ekeremor Federal Constituency, located in Bayelsa State, is expected to witness heightened political activity in the coming months as aspirants position themselves ahead of the next general elections.
