The National Business and Technical Examination Board (NABTEB) has trained 550 staff to improve professionalism and service delivery.
NABTEB’s Registrar, Dr Nnasia Asanga, disclosed the figure on Friday in Benin, at the closing ceremony of a five-day staff training programme.
Tarakirivoice reports that the workshop had the theme “Learning for Effective Service – Series 1.”
Asanga emphasised that the staff were empowered with 11 presentations.
”This revived the beneficiaries who are drawn across the country.
“Valuable feedbacks were also received and the staff promised to leverage on them for optimal performance” he said.
He urged participants to apply the skills and lessons learned in their daily duties
The registrar further assured that NABTEB would continue to invest in capacity building and professional development through workshops and training programmes to achieve the board’s objectives.
“I take full responsibility for any lapses observed during the workshop,” Asanga added.
Speaking on behalf of the participants, NABTEB’s Head of Administration, Mr Henry Johnson, described the training as insightful and thought-provoking.
“This is just one of many training sessions planned to upgrade staff capacity.
“More will come through departmental training and external consultants,” he stated.
Johnson further assured staff that the agency remained committed to their welfare and professional growth.
