The Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Samuel Ogbuku, has reaffirmed the Commission’s commitment to driving sustainable development across the Niger Delta following a courtesy visit to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Lagos.
Speaking after the meeting, Ogbuku said he visited the President at his Lagos residence over the weekend to congratulate him on the successful completion of the third year of his administration under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
The NDDC Managing Director was accompanied by the Chairman of the Commission’s Governing Board, Chiedu Ebie, and the Executive Director of Corporate Services, Ifedayo Abegunde.
According to Ogbuku, the visit provided an opportunity for the NDDC leadership to express appreciation for President Tinubu’s leadership and continued support for the Niger Delta region. He noted that the Commission also briefed the President on its ongoing projects, interventions, and strategic initiatives aimed at improving infrastructure, expanding economic opportunities, and enhancing the quality of life of residents across the region.
The NDDC boss said the Commission remains aligned with the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda and is committed to supporting policies that promote economic growth, social inclusion, and sustainable development.
He emphasized that the Governing Board and Management of the Commission are determined to deliver on the NDDC mandate by accelerating transformational projects and fostering long-term prosperity in the Niger Delta.
Ogbuku further expressed appreciation for the President’s confidence in the Commission, stating that the agency would continue to pursue initiatives designed to create opportunities, strengthen infrastructure, and advance development across the oil-rich region.
The visit comes as the NDDC continues to implement various intervention programmes and development projects aimed at addressing critical infrastructure deficits and stimulating economic growth in the Niger Delta.
