A major political gathering is set to take place in Delta State as Senator Joel-Onowakpo Thomas, representing the people of Delta South Senatorial District, prepares for his official declaration before members of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
According to an official notice signed by Chief Emma Amgbaduba, the State Vice Chairman and Chairman of Delta South Senatorial District, APC leaders and executives across the district have been formally invited to attend the event, which is expected to draw significant political attention ahead of future party activities.
The declaration is scheduled to hold on Friday, May 1, 2026, at Oleh Township Stadium by 11:00 a.m.
Those expected to attend include all State Working Committee members of the party from Delta South, State Executive Committee members, all Local Government Area chairmen and their executive members across the eight LGAs in Delta South, as well as all ward chairmen and their executive committees.
Party insiders describe the event as a strategic moment for strengthening unity and consolidating support within the APC structure in Delta South.
The invitation emphasized the need for party faithful to come together “in unity and support for the continued progress and victory of our great party in Delta South,” while also echoing the slogan, “APC Renewed Hope for M.O.R.E Agenda.”
Political observers say the declaration could signal fresh momentum within the Delta APC and may shape the political direction of the region in the months ahead.
