The Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), Dr. Dennis Brutu Otuaro, has commended the Renewed Hope National Youth Tour for its mobilisation efforts ahead of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid.
Otuaro also praised Seyi Tinubu for what he described as strategic nationwide engagements aimed at strengthening youth participation and support for the President’s continuity agenda.
He made the remarks in a statement applauding the South-South edition of the Renewed Hope National Youth Tour rally held in Benin City, Edo State, between April 23 and 24, 2026.
Seyi Tinubu and members of the youth tour had arrived in Benin City on Thursday, where they were received at the Government House by Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo.
Describing the rally as significant, Otuaro said it reflected growing youth solidarity in the South-South region in support of President Tinubu’s re-election project.
He stated that the mobilisation demonstrated what he called the “strong resolve” of youths in the region to back the President, citing ongoing and completed federal projects in the Niger Delta as evidence of his administration’s impact.
According to him, key initiatives such as the Lagos–Calabar Coastal Highway project, the establishment of the South-South Development Commission, the Federal University of Environment and Technology in Ogoniland, and the signing of the Nigeria Maritime University, Okerenkoko into law, show the administration’s commitment to the region.
He also highlighted continued federal support for the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) and the Presidential Amnesty Programme, noting that increased youth appointments into key national roles further demonstrate inclusiveness in governance.
“The mobilisation rally is a huge testament to the strong resolve of youths of the South-South zone to back President Tinubu’s re-election bid,” Otuaro said.
He added that the Renewed Hope Agenda, in his view, was already yielding results in the South-South and should be sustained through continuity in leadership.
Otuaro further commended the collaboration between the Renewed Hope National Youth Tour and other support groups across the country, describing it as a reflection of confidence in President Tinubu’s leadership.
