Major World War Fears Explode: Iran Vows To Burn U.S. Troops As Invasion Panic Grips World

By Passman Akpos

A dangerous escalation is unfolding in the Middle East as war rhetoric intensifies between the United States and Iran, with fears growing over a potential ground invasion that could ignite a wider regional conflict.

Iran’s parliamentary speaker, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, issued a fiery warning, declaring that Iranian forces are ready to unleash devastating retaliation if American troops step foot on Iranian soil. Marking 30 days since the outbreak of the US-Israeli war on Iran, Ghalibaf stated that Iran’s military stands fully prepared, with missiles positioned and combat readiness at its peak.

“Iranian forces are waiting for the arrival of American troops on the ground to set them on fire,” he warned, signaling a no-compromise stance as hostilities deepen.

Troop Movements Fuel Invasion Fears

Reports continue to circulate that thousands of U.S. Marines are being deployed across the Middle East, raising alarm over what officials describe as possible “extended ground operations.” According to sources cited by The Washington Post, the Pentagon is quietly preparing for a prolonged military campaign, despite ongoing public messaging around diplomacy.

Ghalibaf accused Washington of duplicity, claiming the U.S. is “openly sending messages of negotiation while secretly planning a ground attack,” reinforcing Iran’s narrative that diplomacy may be a cover for military escalation.

Regional Diplomacy Falls Short

In a parallel effort to cool tensions, top diplomats from Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Pakistan, and Turkey convened in Islamabad for urgent talks. However, the absence of both U.S. and Iranian representatives has cast serious doubt on the effectiveness of these discussions.

Analysts warn that without direct engagement between the primary adversaries, such diplomatic efforts may have limited impact in halting the slide toward open conflict.

“Major World War” Warning

Ghalibaf, a former commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and ex-mayor of Tehran, went further by describing the situation as part of a broader global confrontation. He urged Iranians to brace for a “tortuous and difficult path,” framing the crisis as a defining moment on the world stage.

Meanwhile, speculation continues over Washington’s long-term strategy, with reports suggesting that former U.S. President Donald Trump has previously viewed Ghalibaf as a potential political figure of interest in Iran’s leadership landscape.

World on Edge

With military buildups intensifying, diplomatic channels faltering, and rhetoric growing increasingly hostile, the Middle East stands at a critical crossroads. Observers warn that any miscalculation could trigger a full-scale war with global consequences.

For now, the world watches closely as two powerful nations inch closer to what could become one of the most consequential conflicts in recent history.
