According to statements attributed to international advocate Judd Saul, intelligence reports indicate that armed groups may be regrouping and planning additional assaults in vulnerable regions, including Benue State, Plateau State, Southern Kaduna, and parts of Taraba State. The warning comes in the wake of the recent attack in Jos during Palm Sunday, where gunmen reportedly stormed Ungwan Rukuba, leaving multiple casualties and sparking nationwide outrage.
Saul, in his remarks, urged residents in affected areas to remain alert and report any suspicious activity, emphasizing the urgency of preventive action. He also called on Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Christopher Musa to intensify security efforts and ensure citizens can observe the upcoming Easter period without fear.
However, the claims have sparked mixed reactions across the country, particularly on social media, where questions have been raised about the source and credibility of such intelligence. Some critics challenged how the information was obtained, while others warned that unverified reports could fuel panic and deepen existing tensions.
